The final phase of our Pride of the Desert Capital Campaign will bring guests closer to nature than ever before. Lion Ridge, our spectacular new African lion habitat, will offer expansive spaces for our lions to roam, explore, and display their natural behaviors, giving guests an unforgettable opportunity to experience the power and beauty of these magnificent animals. With an estimated 20,000 lions remaining in the wild, Lion Ridge will also inspire greater awareness and support for the conservation efforts needed to protect this iconic species for generations to come.
Adjacent to Lion Ridge will be the Connie & Bob Lurie Palm Pavilion, an extraordinary outdoor event venue made possible in part by the generous support of Connie and Bob Lurie. Designed to host Zoo celebrations, private gatherings, and corporate events, the Pavilion will accommodate up to 500 guests for dining and special occasions. Its most remarkable feature will be a stunning 180-degree glass viewing wall offering an unparalleled view directly into the lion habitat. Imagine dining just steps away from a pride of African lions!
Together, Lion Ridge and the Palm Pavilion will create an unforgettable new destination at The Living Desert, celebrating wildlife, conservation, and the incredible connection between people and nature. Truly, the Pride of the Desert!
